Turning Waste into Value

Vietnam and Indonesia are leading global shrimp producers, generating substantial by-products and biological waste that require sustainable management. The webinar is jointly organized by UNIDO Indonesia and Vietnam and GQSP Indonesia, in collaboration with MMAF Indonesia and VNF. It explores practical solutions for valorizing shrimp processing waste and molted pond shells. Key topics include aquaculture feed applications, crop nutrition and protection, and nutrient recovery from food processing wastewater. Industry leaders and researchers will share innovations to build resource-efficient, circular shrimp value chains.

Zero-Waste Model

Transforming 100% of shrimp by-products into marketable co-products through biotechnology.

Aquaculture & Feed

Shrimp-derived peptides and proteins that enhance performance in aquaculture and animal husbandry.

Sustainable Agriculture

Biostimulants and soil health solutions derived from chitin and chitosan for sustainable horticulture.

Nutrient Recovery

Recovering valuable nutrients from food processing wastewaters to close the resource loop.
